With a solid few years on the music scene I have been writing and performing fairly prolifically. A passion for music and a drive to empower independent musicians pushed me towards establishing and working for Howl.

Ian Astill - Reviewer & Moderator

Ian has been on the scene for longer than he would care to admit. A degree level of musical education from the RNCM and musical directorship of the Castletown Metropolitan Silver Band makes Ian the most over-qualified reviewer here at Howl.

Martyn Cain - Reviewer

Martyn has been making music on the Island since the late 90s. In that time he has toured, recorded, headlined festivals, given lessons and fed an ever demanding effects pedal habit.

Callum Rowe - Reviewer

Callum is currently studying music at the RNCM as well as filling out the funk scene on Island. He has played guitar from a young age and currently organises jam nights with his brother in Secret Pizza Co. (our spiritual home).

Juan is responsible for a lot of good in the Manx music scene. From playing in bands as a teenager through to owning and managing the last bastion of live music in the south, Juan lives to help the music scene thrive... And sell booze. That's his job
