Lady of The Night
Good ole Rock n Roll
"The songwriting is brilliant, the instrumentation is fantastic, the lyrics are perfect and the band have a huge future ahead of them. Get this song in your ear holes right now!"
The artist
Glitch 256 are a young band fresh outta the big smoke. These dudes are young but they smash out classic rock covers better that your dad ever did! Their original songs also have that classic rock vibe.
The song
Intro'd by god only knows what 'Lady of The Night's grabs your attention immediately followed by a quick count in via an open hihat cymbal. An ACDC like biting tone busts down the door over a slinky bassline and gets in ya face. Vocals build and illustrate a dirty picture of a dark night filled with fleeting morals. A short bridge builds you up for the catch AF chorus. A wah solo! When do you hear a wah-ed up guitar solo nowadays? Anyway, the solo suits the style of the track perfectly. Rinse repeat the verse to catch yourself at that catchy chorus again. A clean reggae style chord sequence takes place over a tight rhythm section till you are graced by the chorus once more before the lady of the night slips out of your room slowly with 'see ya later' scrawled on the mirror in crimson lipstick.
The verdict
'Lady of The Night' is a song that could've been written in the 80's and be the song we all reminisce over. The songwriting is brilliant, the instrumentation is fantastic, the lyrics are perfect and the band have a huge future ahead of them. Get this song in your ear holes right now!
