Sanssouci - 10-4.20

Sanssouci

10-4.20

Party Metal/Punk Rock

"this band is heavy but playful, harsh yet soft and full of likeable vibes. Tom Rowe at Secret Pizza, book these guys so we can get loaded, eat pizza and mosh like f*ck to some awesome tunes."

The artist

Sanssouci (pronounced San-soo-see) formed in 2017. They were a 3 piece up until last recently. They played various gigs including 2 days at dark horse 2018, hiatus December 2018-June 2020. The 10-4.20 EP was released on June 30th 2020.

The song

10 - 4.20 starts with a thunderously punk style onslaught of noise mutating into a dirty walk down. Vocals break through with a loose kind of feel that hooks you straight away. There's riffs galore as you're bumrushed into the catchy chorus. More brutal walkdowns emphasise some brilliant harmonies. Above x2 except verse 2 comes with some nu-metal-esque rapping.

Tom Tom Tom Tom WOAAAHHH! should've been this bangers name. Muh-fuggin riffs break through your face bones and prime you for a more energetic delivery of the now familiar chorus followed by some metalcore style licks send you packing.

The verdict

Sanssouci is that cousin you don't see that often that doesn't have a job but always has cash. Women love him even though he's a little bit ugly. Comes to family gatherings once a year high AF and ends up asleep in the bathroom for about 4 hours before coming out and seeming perfectly fine... you know the guy!

All humour aside this band is heavy but playful, harsh yet soft and full of likeable vibes. Tom Rowe at Secret Pizza, book these guys so we can get loaded, eat pizza and mosh like f*ck to some awesome tunes.

If you like...

This is a tough one as I hear elements from 90's American punk, nu-metal, metal core and party rock. Bad religion playing a suicidal tendencies song through some

Slipknot gear is the best I can come up with.
